Ultrabrief: Microsoft posts, then removes, Silverlight beta for Symbian

Over 2 days ago Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) and Nokia (NYSE: NOK) announced that Silverlight will be devising its way to S40, S60 (Symbian), and Maemo (now MeeGo). They finally came through on Mar 11th, delivering the bits for Symbian, but then it was quickly pulled according to Virgin Mary-Jo Foley from All About Microsoft.

Why was it removed?

Appular: From marketing/PR company to iPhone app publisher

Appular, which is a selling and PR firm specialized in promoting iPhone titles, is taking the “publishing house route.” What this means is that in some cases — when they like the application/game — they may act as a publishing house and contribution the revenue generated from the app sales with the developer. As a resultant role, their initial fees volition be waived.

What would iPhone-ownin’ Homer do on a weekend when watching a TV with his family and suddenly Mr. Robert Burns calls? Dump the headphone? Press “Reject”? Or simply eat the damn matter?
